In my practice, I explore my surroundings and creates narratives around them using various media such as sculptures, video, installation and text.

In the recent work "The day, we left early in the morning to see the waterfall.", I want to create connections between personal stories and the world around us. My parents experience China’s society opened up and the economy grew rapidly, the cities on changing, the house price went up, for the young people we have a collective consensus we can’t afford to buy a house. The value of a house does not depend on the commodity itself, but on what it represents as a symbol of something else. I started from my father's dream-his future house. From a dialogue with him, dives me into memories and shapes a poetic space through writing, story-telling, and making objects. The house becomes a journey, a journey through space and time, including in a metaphysical way, we can enter in and touch it, to interact with the house that belongs to us, or never belongs to us. The works are questions, not answers, process, not stasis.

Like the day I went with my parents to see the waterfall. I could smell the water floating in the air, the stone steps covered with dew that we need to be careful of every step, but the waterfall is still far away.
